OUR MODEL
Sumbandila is currently focused in the Vhembe district in Limpopo, one of the poorest provinces of South Africa. Since 2008 we have provided over 300 children with academic support and mentorship in the form of either a full academic scholarship at Ridgeway College or weekend and holiday programs at Ridgeway College. We support students from both programmes to gain access to university or other tertiary institutions and thereafter, in partnership with the universities, Government NSFAS and other bursary organisations students are supported financially, academically and psychosocially throughout university and ultimately assisted where necessary, into the work place. Currently we have 129 students in tertiary and 53 graduates.
